Strengths

  • + Incredible value — EP801 enduro eMTB under €3,500
  • + Same proven geometry as carbon Decoy models
  • + RockShox ZEB is a solid performer at this price
  • + D2C model eliminates dealer markup completely

Weaknesses

  • Alloy frame adds ~2kg over carbon Core models
  • SX Eagle drivetrain feels plasticky and less precise
  • SRAM DB8 brakes lack power compared to Code series
  • Heavier rotating weight from budget wheelset

Motor: The EP801 shines even on the budget build — identical power delivery and trail manners as the flagship. The motor makes the alloy frame penalty almost irrelevant on climbs, though weight is felt on tech descents.
