Strengths

  • + Most affordable full-suspension eMTB in the catalog at €4,499
  • + Shimano EP8 motor proven and reliable
  • + BH's Spanish dealer network excellent for service
  • + Adequate geometry for recreational trail riding

Weaknesses

  • Aluminum frame and budget components add weight (25.5kg)
  • RockShox Recon fork very entry-level
  • 630Wh battery limits range vs competitors
  • Overall build quality basic

Motor: The EP8 at 85Nm delivers sufficient power for the iLynx+ Trail's intended use. It's the workhorse of Shimano's eMTB lineup — perhaps lacking the refinement of EP801, but reliable and proven across thousands of rides.
